About Running Tuba AVL

A Texas company.
Run like a family.

Because that’s exactly what we are.

Running Tuba AVL is a family-owned audio, video, and lighting (AVL) integration company, based in Texas and proud of it.

Family-owned isn't a line we put on a website because it sounds warm. It's the reason this company works the way it does. When you call us, you reach people who answer for the work personally. There's no layer between you and the person who can actually make a decision, and nobody here gets to hand a problem to a department that doesn't exist.

It also means we take the long view. We'd rather design a system you'll still be happy with in eight years than win a job by shaving the budget somewhere you won't notice until it fails. That's not a sales position. It's just how you behave when your name is on the truck parked outside a customer's building.

We're built around a simple belief: technology only counts when people can actually use it. A room full of exceptional equipment that intimidates the staff who inherit it isn't a success. It's an expensive problem waiting for a Monday morning.

So we design for the people in the room. We install clean, we commission properly, we document what we did, and then we stay long enough to train the teachers, the volunteers, the clinicians, the clerks and the operators who'll live with it every day.

That's what Sound. Vision. Impact. means to us. The first two are equipment. The third one is the only one anybody remembers.

The crew that shows up is the crew we sent.

Anyone can quote a room. What separates a good integration from a bad one is what happens on site — whether the van arrives stocked, whether the cable runs are labeled, whether the person on the ladder has done this in your kind of building before.

Our vehicles are set up as working shops, not storage. Racks, test gear, spares and terminations travel with the crew, because the difference between a one-day install and a three-day install is usually a part somebody forgot to bring.

And our people wear our name. On a school campus, in a hospital corridor, inside a council chamber or backstage during a service, you should be able to tell at a glance who belongs to your project.

What Family-Owned Actually Buys You

01

You talk to decision-makers

Questions get answered by people who can act on them. No ticket queue, no waiting for a regional office in another state to weigh in on your room.

02

We're still here in year five

We design for serviceability and we plan for the upgrade path, because we fully expect to be the ones maintaining it. Continuity is the whole point.

03

Reputation is personal

In a family business, a bad install doesn't cost a quarterly number — it costs a name. That tends to make people careful in the ways that matter.
